With the popularity of the first InkCase and the rise of dual screen devices such as the YotaPhone, Oaxis are now launching their second generation InkCase. A Kickstarter campaign that is currently ongoing hit their target in just a few days.
The InkCase Plus now packs more power with the new ability to install apps.
As well as being used as a secondary screen for your Android device it can also be used as the primary one. There are some features the InkCase Plus really excels at such as: reading, maps, images, SMS Messaging, picking up incoming calls and controlling your music.
The eInk technology enables continuous reading for up to 19 hours and standby up to 7 days. This is achieved with a single charge from the built-in 500mAh Li-Ion battery.
The InkCase is a very interesting concept and the addition of physical buttons for page turns, taking pictures or easy access is a bonus.
The InkCase is due to be released in October. No prices as of yet.
