New Kobo Firmware Now Available

Kobo has just released a major new firmware update for the Kobo Aura HD, Kobo Aura and Kobo Glo. The 3.50 update fixes a myriad of bugs as well as adding new features.

Browsing using Kobo’s internet browser now provides a much smoother experience. Syncing has also been significantly speeded up. Any purchases made on other devices are now downloaded straight to your eReader. Any new updates will now be downloaded automatically to your eReader from the main Kobo Server.

Other fixes include: long paragraph bug fixed for EPUBS,  support for new Adobe RMSDK  and the frontlight now returns to the same level as before on waking the device from sleep or unplugging from a PC.

Kobo’s PC app has been updated allowing you to shop for books and delivering them to your eReader.

Hitting the sync button on your Aura HD, Aura or Glo should notify you that a new update is available. If you don’t see the update, don’t worry as Kobo often distributes them in a staggered release so millions aren’t downloading it at once.
