It’s been a busy few months for PocketBook with a number of eReaders being released, among them the Aqua and Ultra. Today, they have announced another device, the InkPad, this one however features a large eight inch display.
The PocketBook InkPad uses an eInk Pearl display with a 1600 x 1200 resolution – the highest screen resolution yet for such devices. This will provide exceptional image clarity for reading and will mean you can zoom in or increase font size without losing any definition.
Powering the device is a 1GHz CPU with 512MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB. It also features a built-in LED frontlight.
One of the most interesting features of this eReader is the 3.5mm headphone jack so you can listen to audiobooks or music. Pocketbook also has integrated Text to Speech so you can have books read aloud to you.
There is no release date for the InkPad or price as of yet.
